PATH HEAD WATER MILL is an
ideal location for an educational trip or nature expedition.
Many local schools have
expressed an interest in bringing the children for visits to show them
how a Water Mill worked and also for nature trails. Many aspects of
the National Curriculum can be experienced in a real-life situation.
We have on-site parking, a
picnic area, disabled toilets and single level for prams and wheelchairs.
We also provide tea, coffee and juice at the Interpretation Centre which
will also house some information about the history of the local area.
Although Vale Mill Trust's
restoration of PATH HEAD WATER MILL has been partly funded by a number
of organisations, as a charity we rely on continued support. Our membership
fee is small and gives you (together with up to 5 relatives) free entry
twice each year (including demonstrations of the workings of the mill)
and access to all facilities on site. (except during special events).
